Environmental Sustainability
The environment is central to the lives and livelihoods of indigenous communities, yet it faces increasing threats from deforestation, pollution, climate change, and unsustainable practices. Protecting nature is no longer optional—it is essential for survival and for building a sustainable future.
At Green Milieu, we take action to restore balance between people and the planet. Our Bamboo Forest Project promotes reforestation and climate resilience by planting bamboo—an indigenous, fast-growing, and sustainable resource that helps prevent soil erosion while supporting local livelihoods. Through the Terrarium Initiative, we engage youths in hands-on learning, allowing them to create miniature ecosystems while understanding biodiversity, sustainability, and the importance of protecting nature. We also lead the Barefoot Forest Campaign and promote eco-friendly practices like organic fertilizer from kitchen waste, encouraging communities to adopt sustainable solutions.
Still, the challenges are urgent—loss of biodiversity, climate disasters, and rising waste threaten the balance of our ecosystems. Without collective action, the most vulnerable communities, especially in the hills, will continue to suffer the consequences.
With your support, Green Milieu is committed to protecting the environment, advancing sustainable practices, and empowering communities to take climate action for generations to come.
