Terrarium Workshop

Terrarium Workshop

“A terrarium is a miniature, self-contained ecosystem housed within a glass container. It allows plants to flourish in a controlled environment, combining creativity, horticulture, and ecological understanding. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, a terrarium offers a hands-on way to explore natural processes, moisture cycles, and biodiversity on a small scale, making it a perfect activity for nature enthusiasts and environmentally conscious individuals.”

We hosted a Terrarium Workshop in Bandarban, designed to foster environmental awareness, promote biodiversity conservation, and offer participants a tangible connection with nature. Unlike conventional workshops, this session emphasized the practical techniques and scientific principles behind terrarium creation. Participants were guided through every stage—from selecting suitable plants and substrates to understanding water balance and maintaining a healthy micro-ecosystem.

This workshop held particular significance as it marked our first external session, bringing together sixteen passionate participants in an immersive, hands-on learning experience. Each participant gained practical knowledge of building and sustaining their own miniature green worlds, while appreciating the delicate balance that sustains living systems.

Led by Team Green Milieu and supported by Youth for Policy and SAABA, the workshop successfully combined education, creativity, and environmental stewardship. We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants and partner organizations for their enthusiasm and collaboration.

Team Green Milieu envisions a world where the presence of greenery is felt everywhere. We look forward to presenting more innovative workshops that inspire engagement with nature in thoughtful and imaginative ways.
